So this is our new page, and we are honoured to be part of issue number 50!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who bought a ticket and came to the fundraiser, and to reassure you that we did not run off and fritter your donations on beer, mangoes, meetings in exotic locations and whatnot. In fact we have momentous ideas for the year ahead.
If you haven’t heard of us yet, The Shiny Shed are a local arts collective working to create spaces and opportunities for emerging local artists, and generally brighten the place up. Read all about us on our website or Facebook page.
The Shiny Shed are pleased to announce that we will be curating the 2011 arts trail! It’s going to be bigger, better and more fantastically outlandish than it was before…
We are currently in the process of making grand plans as it were, and are eager to hear from like-minded people with a curious sense of exuberance. Do you have a curious exuberance? If so, please do call.
Perhaps there is a project idea you are yet to realize due to lack of man power, need for publicity, or just not knowing where to start?
We at The Shiny Shed delight in making these things happen, so write to us at theshinyshed@googlemail.com however ambiguous a notion you have.
Likewise, if you have the spare time or skills to help us make sure the trail is a grand success, we would be ever so happy to hear from you.
